Events and Exhibitions

The Canada Council is delighted to partner with the Art Gallery of Greater Victoria and the National Gallery of Canada to highlight the lifetime achievements of the talented winners of the 2021 and 2022 Governor General’s Awards in Visual and Media Arts. The galleries will be hosting exhibitions that provide members of the public with a glimpse into these remarkable creators’ bodies of work.

Since 1999, the Governor General’s Awards in Visual and Media Arts awards have celebrated Canada’s vibrant arts community and recognized remarkable careers in the visual and media arts. This would not be possible without the precious collaboration of the Canada Council’s many partners.
