Exhibition Opening for the 2021 Governor General’s Awards in Visual and Media Arts
This exhibition, curated by Jaimie Isaac, is a rare opportunity to see the work of the winning artists, who live in all parts of Canada, together in one location. The eight winners are Dempsey Bob, Bonnie Devine, Luc Courchesne, Cheryl L’Hirondelle, Lori Blondeau, Germaine Arnaktauyok, Lou Lynn and Bryce Kanbara. The works exhibited are the result of decades of interdisciplinary artistic practices - from fine craft production to visual and media arts.

Exhibition Opening for the 2022 Governor General’s Awards in Visual and Media Arts
This exhibition creates dialogues between the artists’ practices and works from the Gallery’s contemporary and historical collections. From installations in the Gallery’s public spaces to interventions that disrupt and unsettle narratives within the permanent collection, the winners create meaning in unexpected ways. The nine artists are Gerald McMaster, Brigitte Clavette, David Ruben Piqtoukun, Pierre Bourgault, Jocelyn Robert, Moyra Davey, Carole Condé + Karl Beveridge, Monique Régimbald-Zeiber.
